This paper is an analysis of Yves Citton’s thinking about attention, which highlights the crucial elements, perspectives and criticalities of an ecological approach to attention. This approach aims to overcome the individualism of the economy of attention, starting from the community, through the relationships between two people, taking into consideration the joint attention, up to the individual individually considered, in its attention and carelessness objects of the surrounding environment.
